Move through the world with me.
Across landscapes shaped by ice, water, and long temporal scales, I observe, measure, and intervene.
Materials, sites, and objects become tools for reading landscape, time, and attention.
This body of work moves between field, object, and thought, taking form through several distinct arms of my practice:
ABOUT MY PRACTICE
In STUDIO, these investigations become installations, land art, and object-based works that translate field observation into tangible form. FIELD OFFICE roves from the Arctic to the Everglades, documenting glaciers, waterways, and ecosystems, tracing the geological and ecological corridors that connect the Great Lakes to the north and south. Along rivers and streams, ANGLING DIVISION turns flyfishing into an instrument of ecological attentiveness and the subtle observation of waterways. GEOCOG delivers site-specific frameworks and guidance, supporting foundations, partners, and land stewards in making informed, context-sensitive decisions.
WORK WITH ME
I work with institutions, operators, and private principals on complex questions involving land, water, institutional knowledge, and infrastructure. The work is grounded in direct field engagement and analysis, and focuses on developing durable ways of seeing and acting. Research moves into public and institutional contexts through installations, archives, dossiers, and field systems, as well as tools for people working directly in place.
I do not carry a phone, but I’m easy to contact (especially by email, pigeon, or semaphore).
